Location & Arrival
How far is Hotel Pragati from Bhubaneswar Railway Station?
Hotel Pragati is just 200 meters from Platform 1 of Bhubaneswar Railway Station, with quick access to the main station entrance. It is also close to the bus terminal.
How do I walk to the hotel from Platform 1?
Exit Platform 1 and turn left. Walk past the Indian Post Office and the Railway Officers Rest House on your left, continue about 50 m, and Hotel Pragati is on your right.
Do you offer pick-up and drop?
Yes. We offer paid transfers from the railway station and the airport. Please book in advance at +91 90090 29000.
Is parking available?
Parking is available, subject to availability.
Was Hotel Pragati earlier called Hotel Railview?
Yes. We opened in 2017 as Hotel Railview. Today we begin a new chapter as Hotel Pragati — the same address, the same phone number and the same prices, now with a more premium stay.
Booking & Payment
How can I book a room?
You can book online using the "Book Now" button, call reception at +91 90900 29000, call or WhatsApp reservations at +91 90900 29072 / +91 90900 29092, or send an enquiry from our contact page. Every booking is confirmed by a call from the hotel.
Do I have to pay in advance?
No — book now, pay at the hotel. If you are arriving after 4:00 PM, one day's tariff is needed as advance to guarantee the room.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel before 11:00 AM on the check-in date for a 100% refund of the advance. In case of a no-show, the advance is non-refundable.
What happens if I arrive late without paying an advance?
The room may be released if no advance is received and the guest has not arrived by the cut-off.
What are the room rates?
Rates are dynamic. The AC Deluxe Room starts from ₹2,100 + taxes and the Triple Bed AC Room from ₹2,700 + taxes. Please check the live booking engine for the best current price.
Check-in & Stay
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 12:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Our front desk is open 24/7, so you can arrive any time, day or night.
Can I check in early or check out late?
Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability. Early-morning check-in is chargeable and may involve a short wait.
Which rooms do you have?
We have 40 clean AC rooms in two types: the AC Deluxe Room (king-size memory foam mattress, in-room tea/coffee dispenser, for 2 adults) and the Triple Bed AC Room (king bed + single bed, for up to 4 guests). View rooms.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes, hi-speed Wi-Fi is available for guests.
Is there a restaurant in the hotel?
Yes — The Platform, our multi-cuisine restaurant, serves a buffet breakfast, Indian and Chinese dishes, a quick-service menu and Odia delicacies made to order (please order a little in advance). See The Platform.
Meetings & Events
How many guests can the Conference Hall hold?
The pillar-less Conference Hall (22 ft × 32 ft, about 704 sq ft) comfortably hosts 50 to 60 guests — up to 64 in theatre, classroom or social-party setups, and 40 in cluster, U-shape or board room setups.
What equipment is included?
The hall comes with air-conditioning, a projector with laptop connectivity, a podium, cordless mic and speakers, and hi-speed Wi-Fi. Customizable food and beverage service is available from our in-house kitchen.
Do you have a smaller meeting room?
Yes — our Board Room (14 ft × 10 ft) seats 8 to 10 guests and has an attached bath. View Board Room.

House Rules
For the safety and comfort of all our guests.
Valid ID
Every guest shows a valid government photo ID and signs the Guest Registration Card (GRC). Check-in can be refused without ID.
Couples
Welcome. Both guests check in together, are photographed together for records, sign the GRC and show photo ID, as per Commissionerate Police guidelines.
Children
Guests under 18 cannot stay alone and must be with a responsible adult (18+). Age proof may be asked.
Single Occupancy
One registered guest only. No unregistered overnight visitors.
Luggage
Guests should carry a reasonable amount of luggage, as per security norms.
Right of Admission
Hotel Pragati follows local law and police guidelines and may cancel a booking without a refund for unregistered guests, suspicious activity or policy breaches.
